read
Isaiah 62:5 / John 2:1-11: For as a young man marries a young woman, so shall your builder marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you. / [Jesus] said to them, "Now draw some out, and take it to the chief steward." So they took it. When the steward tasted the water that had become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the steward called the bridegroom and said to him, "Everyone serves the good wine first, and then the inferior wine after the guests have become drunk. But you have kept the good wine until now." Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee, and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

pray
Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ is the light of the world: Grant that your people, illuminated by your Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ's glory, that he may be known, worshiped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and for ever. do
This week have a good conversation with a friend who knows you and knows Christ well - perhaps over a glass of wine. Talk and pray together about any area of your life that you have overlooked as "too ordinary" or "too secular" or "too unimportant" for the changing work of Christ to reveal himself. Is it in you work, your home, your health, your neighborhood? Where might you invite Christ to make something new in your life and in the world around you? End your time giving thanks for all of the ways Christ has already revealed Himself as the true God in the world around you.
