Today! Epiphany Livestream at 1 PM (EST)
Links and other stuff I mentioned (or forgot to mention!) in this week's live stream:
What I forgot!
My guiding verses for Epiphany: Isaiah 60:1-3; 1 John 1:1-5; Philippians 2:15
Definition for Epiphany! Epiphany comes from the Greek verb phainein, which means "to cause to appear" or "to bring to light." (Think the colloquial way we use the word "epiphany" to describe an "AHA!" moment and add several rich layers of having our eyes opened to the presence of the Divine.)
Another lovely book to enhance Epiphany meditations - Light Upon Light: A Literary Guide to Prayer for Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany by Sarah Arthur
Links to the stuff I remembered to say:
Living the Christian Year: Time to Inhabit the Story of God by Bobby Gross
Scripture index for the four spiritual practices to foster during Epiphany: Meditation, Prayer, Worship, Gospel Conversations (or Witness)
A few posts I've written on several of these practices over the years (and most like a decade ago - gulp!):
Resources to pray for all nations:
Operation World: the definitive prayer guide for every nation. Join people from every nation, praying for people in every nation, sign up now and pray that the glory of God would fill the earth! You will receive daily prayer reminders for a different country or need somewhere in the world.
Joshua Project: praying for unreached people groups. Subscribe to pray for an unreached people group every day.
Perspectives on the World Christian Movement: be a part of God's plan for Him to be loved by every people. Find a class near you.
Prayercast videos. A friend working in a difficult part of the world sent me one of these links recently. The videos have helped me pray more intelligently about all parts of the world. Sign up to receive a weekly email to help you join in prayer with the world for the world.

Let's try this live stream thing again, shall we?
What should happen is that at 1:00 PM EST you'll be able to click on this link and watch my live stream from your Patreon page. You'll be able to comment below to send me questions and comments in real-time.
If you're not able to join in while I'm live, you'll be able to use this same link to watch the conversation afterward.
I'll plan to share briefly what I've learned about Epiphany (both the Feast Day and the season), focusing especially on the spiritual practices, Scripture focus, and prayer this season of the church calendar fosters. You can reference some of what I'll share at the Epiphanytide page on my website.
I'll also offer a brief introduction to the Cultivating A Rule of Life conversation I'll be leading live each Tuesday afternoon in January. You can read more about the content I'll be covering here.
Once I'm done sharing, I'll stick around to answer any questions you send or input you'd like to offer us in the comment box below.
I'm excited to "meet" with you and hope this works!
Peace,
Tamara
