Murphys Take Austin: Day 2 & 3

(thank you, Young-Mee, for sharing your pictures!)
Friday night through Sunday afternoon we piled into my grandparents' cottage to spend some good time together before the big Farewell.  When I was a little girl, on any given celebration, we typically had no fewer than thirty people piling on picnic tables, lawn chairs, decks and docks in this place.  It's been a while since we've used it this way, but I can't think of a more perfect send off.

People came and went all weekend, squeezing in moments together when we could get them. Cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends.  It was good to be together.

To add to the nostalgia, we had a good old-fashioned rainy Saturday.  Any of you who've camped or cabin-ed with a large family know what this feels like.  We got creative and loved every minute of it anyway.

I had planned to give everyone a "Farewell" mix-tape before we pulled out, but my CD burner was not cooperating.  I've included some of the tunes from that unkept-hope here on the blog.  Hope you enjoy!

Andrew is going to write a post about the good-byes we said in the last few days.
