Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace. Where there is hatred, let me so love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is error, truth; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
(*It seems fitting, also, to remember the life of Nelson Mandela on this day of his death.)

We had one of those nights here so I don't have an Advent calendar collage. I asked my friend Jean if I could use her Advent calendar photo for today. The activity was to pray for those who care for our beautiful earth and to pick up trash. I did not pick up trash. I, however, stayed inside all day and worked from home in my pajamas.
