About A Sacramental Life Community
It does take a village…
Welcome to A Sacramental Life Community! My hope is for each member to grow in their capacity to pay attention, become curious, and move toward the ongoing invitations of God.
As a member, you’ll receive access to one virtual retreat a month (usually the first Thursday of the month from 11:30am - 1:30 pm Eastern time). Each live event will be recorded and include 40 minutes for guided prayer, silence, and scripture reading, 40 minutes for individual reflection (offline) with the help of simple prompts included in the downloadable retreat guide, and 40 minutes for group spiritual direction with space for guided response and Q & A.
Community members will also have access to a variety of specially-created resources to help them grow more like Jesus and more like the true selves God created them to be.
May you know that you are welcomed, loved, and respected here, and may you sense the nearness of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in each encounter.
Peace, friend,
Tamara

Resources for Living a Sacramental Life
The Church calendar embeds a rhythm of feasting and fasting into our lives of congregational worship, but there's a lot of space left over for us to make decisions in our everyday work, play, and devotion. This is the space a spiritual practice like cultivating a Rule, or Rhythm, of Life, seeks to fill.
In four parts, I'll share some brief history and a lot of personal insight to help answer the following questions:
What is a Rhythm of Life?
How does a Rhythm of Life work?
Do I need a Rhythm of Life?
What are some cautions in cultivating a Rhythm of Life?
How does a Rhythm of Life change as the seasons of my life change?
How does a Rhythm of Life work in community or family?
Back in June 2020, as I was praying and pondering what it means to live in the knowledge of God's love while at the same time lamenting all the ways I've not reflected that love, my friend Vernée Wilkinson sent me an email with the subject line: An Examen Invitation. Before I opened the email I didn't have clarity about what I'd like to offer here this summer and after I opened the email I knew exactly what I wanted to offer you this summer.
Once a month during the summer of 2020, we met for two hours for a time of contemplation, conversation, and a greater sense of the callings we've each been given in the work of antiracism. We meditated on Scripture, considered the value of three specific spiritual practices, spent time in individual silence, and leaned toward Vernée as she vulnerably shared her wisdom and counsel with us.
